Take a drive down our street this week and this is what you'll see! There's a reason we chose this neighborhood and these pics will give you a glimpse as to why. We live in the Azalea District here in Tyler. Our home base is along the 8 miles of Azalea trails, of which thousands of people visit every year during the week (maybe 2) long bloom of the Azalea's and Dogwoods. Our neighbors pride themselves on their yards, and rightfully so. The sight really is unbelievable, but because they die off so quickly I'm often left wondering "why was that such a big deal?". But then the next year comes around and BLOOM (!) there they are...so beautiful, so serene.
Several events are brought throughout the neighborhood thanks to the Azalea season. We just had the Azalea 10K (Ozarka sponsored!), the Historic Home Tour where all the young ladies are dressed in their Cinderella-like gowns, and soon enough we'll enjoy the arts and crafts fair. We absolutely love this neighborhood this time of year!
